the 9-5 does have a good deal of both road and wind noise. Probably could be solved with a little more sound insulation. The car would still be far less porky than some of the larger German cars.
The car could be smoother, but like others have said, the 5 series has a far more sophisticated suspension. You do get what you pay for to some extent.
The 45 series tires on my Aero do not help in the smoothness department. The 50 series WRs for winter are somewhat less harsh on rough roads. I wonder what will be on the 06s since Saab is going with wider wheels and I thinking higher sidewalls.
