Not an econ major but...

... I'm a used car guy. While I can't say I'd buy a 10 year old car and drive it for 10 years, I am a firm believer in letting someone else pay the massive deprecitation hit Saabs take the first few years out of the factory. My current 9-3 was 3 years old when I bought it, but as a CPO car I got a great deal and still have several years of warranty to look forward to. At this point in my life/career if I had to buy new I'd be in some kind of tincan econobox I'd be at risk in (let along my wife and baby).
Sport-Combis are tempting, but the CPOs of the second or third model year will be out before I'm in the market again. I can't wait to a station wagon driving dad... as long as it's a 250HP turbocharged wagon ;)
