I commute 230 miles (round trip) per day. This amounts to about 65,000 a year after I drive my son to all of his sports and other errands on the weekend. For anyone else who commutes in Chicago I feel your pain. The open road tolling construction projects have made our lives hell.
I'd never thought about buying a high mileage car, maybe I'll try that next time. I have always driven Honda's in the past and never wore one out. My 93 is at 145000 and I'm starting to worry about it. The timing chain tensioner is maxed out and I've heard the horror stories about sludge and chain failures.
