I decided to do a little pre-dismantling to see what I was working with. Admittedly I don't know what I'm talking about, but my gut says things don't look good.

Below this message are two posts with pics. One shows the tiny hole behind the knob - clearly the shower was built after the plumbing was installed. I seriously doubt it's possible to get anything into or out of there. The second shows the trim - and a Canadian patent date of "1962-". The bathroom is part of an addition built in - you guessed it - '62.

I'm going to go look around Delta's site, but I gotta believe that whatever plumbing they were making in the '60s is not going to be compatible with replacement parts in production today. I'm hoping that's not the case....
