The SAGA continues....
So on above recommendations, I purchased the 6 point sub frame brace, the steering rack brace and the rear anti sway bar. I will get those all installed when I take it in for a service next week.
On some related notes, since I have now had the car for a while and have driven it a bit maybe someone can help with the following:
1) How the heck do I unlock the passenger side door??? Can I only do it using the key?? I cannot find a button or switch or anything to unlock that door while sitting in the drivers seat.
2) There is a very disturbing "crack" sound that has developed on the drivers side dash near the window, around where the speaker sits. IT is very noticable under hard acceleration and on rough roads. it sounds as though a mount or clip or something has broken up under the dash. Anyone know what that might be?
3) The AC shuts off when you take the top down. Easy enough to manually turn it back on but is there anyway to stop this from occurring? I would rather turn the AC off when it is not needed rather than having to turn it back on all the time.
3) It says I need to replace the key battery but have no idea how to do this. It doesn't even look like the key comes apart...
4) The "Time for SErvice" display has come on, what exactly does that mean? Is that just an oil change or something more sinister? The car has only 17K miles on it....
5) Is there any way to make the car sound a little meaner? I am used to an 8 cylinder growl and the SAAB makes very little noise at all. I understand that maybe that is a SAAB characteristic but if anyone has a muffler suggestion to give it a little life, that would be appreciated!
I have order the owners manual so maybe some of the answers are in there.
Thanks for all the great and informative posts!
Kip
