Don't think I have seen the oil pump gasket leak enough to warrant a replacement.
If the thermostat is old now's the time to do it.
I think one cam shaft has to be removed to access the head bolts below.
This is why I spend a lot of time and take it very slow when a stud is broken. I make damn sure I center the drill before going to deep and use only a 1/8 size drill and extractor so I can see it is in center or at least almost.
On the 4 cyl engine, I manage to extract the studs through the manifold hole and just put new studs in and torque the gasket down again unless it has crept out too much.
