Hala-frigin-Lew-Ya! CRANK BOLT LOOSE! OMG what a bear! I got the strongest electric impact driver I could find, 1250Lbs breakaway torque. It stopped the impact wrench after 2 seconds!!! thanks to another saubonaut, PK N, I fashioned a crank locking tool from the depth gauge of my rototiller. It was quite a task to get the measurements to match the EXACT position of the crank so that the bar rests solidly on the frame just aft of the axel.
THEN, using an 8 foot galv pipe on the 1/2" breaker bar...I had to remove the hood to get enough room for leverage...OOOMMMPH! FINALLY! Holy sh__ batman! I won't know if the key sheered or not til later today but I'll report when I know more. The bolt head is pretty bunged up and I have one on the way.
Question? WIS calls for removal of TB before removing Cam sprocket bolts. I'd think it safer, in keeping all in TDC to loosing before removing the TB. Am I not understanding cam/crank stuff here?
