Drew's post is pretty much right on. But I think you have to deal with this on a couple of levels.
First make sure you are documenting everything and keeping the record off site. For the time being, I would avoid escalating to HR or your boss's boss.
Second, since your manager doesn't want to deal with it (something you should also document) you have to deal with this person one on one. Be nice, smile, be friendly. Don't let her get to you. It is harder for someone, even a jerk like you seem to have there, to be mean to you if you're being nice to them. I know it's hard, but it's one technique that can work. Buy her lunch, and gently try to find out why she is being such a putz. People are weird, and there could be some imagined slight on her part that makes her have a grudge against you. Maybe she just has a lot of crap going on in her life.
I know you'll take the high road and not gossip about it at work. However, if there is someone else in the office you can totally trust, it wouldn't hurt to get their point of view. It also gives you something of an ally who may be able to vouch for you if necessary. Someone else may know more about her and another colleague may have input.
Without knowing either of you, it does sound like she is jealous of you--younger, married, nice cars, own a house, etc. This makes it a personal issue for her, as she may think she should have what you do. That's her problem, but she is making you deal with it. So you have to deal with her. Don't be confrontational, though, it will only make it worse, as she'll see it as an attack.
This will evolve. Please keep us all posted.
Sure reminds me of when I did the corporate thing. I've been there. Never fun.
Good luck and take it a day at a time.
Noel
