Do you change your contacts periodically? You said that after a year you can't see as well out of your contacts...You do change them every few months/weeks (depending on the type) right? Maybe the type of lense you're wearing isn't good for you. I find that I see much better out of my contacts than out of my glasses with the same prescription.
I usually need to change mine every 3-4 months because I can feel myself starting to need to squint. My eyes still get worse every year, and my prescription gets changed usually in July, so thats when my eyesight is really bad!
I want Lasik, but I'm only 20 and my eyes still get worse each year. I'm at -4.25 in one eye and -4 in the other, so I'm blind as a bat without my contacts!
