In 1987 I got a speeding ticket in my new C900T. The cop lied like hell about my speed and also lied in court that I was "braking sharply" when he first saw me ... I think he was peeved because he saw the radar detector in my window and figured that I had slowed down before he could get me. In actuality, the detector went off, I checked my speed, and I was fine, maybe 5 over. I haven't bothered with the radar detector for 15 or 20 years now.
Thought I was getting one recently when I crested a hill about 15 over the limit only to meet a Washington State trooper coming the other way. (And me with Oregon plates.) I was not happy to see him make U turn in my mirror, but I was happy again when he pulled over a Jetta that was behind me.
