If what you claim is true (about control), then explain why most performance cars are set up to oversteer, rather than understeer (lacking the ability to achieve perfect balance/drift). Explain why RWD and throttle steer are a serious FEATURE in most road racing. YOU may prefer understeer: it doesn't make a car drive better.
In addition, when dealing with snow, you want traction on the driving wheels. If you can't move forward in snow, the steering issue is moot.
As I noted earlier, most drivers prefer understeer, and most vehicles come out of the factory set up that way. That still doesn't make it better.
