"A bigger issue is that most people don't really know how to deal with EITHER understeer or oversteer. It's sure not taught in most normal driver's ed courses and anyway, those classes were a long time ago for most drivers."
At the AERO driving academy (I attended in 2003), they daily discussed understeer as the "preferred" SAAB method of handling, yet, out on the track.....multiple hours and multiple driver failures of (understanding??) understeer spin-offs were present on the skid pad...
Most (casual) drivers do not know how to react to oversteer on expressways in W. Michigan...after 30+yrs of SAAB driving and over a million SAAB driven miles, I feel my opinion is evenly presented here....
