yes, it sounds like NEVS is at the moment planning 100% for EV + no mention of hybrids. As has become the norm, there were some "rough edges" in the transcription of the press release on SU, but it sounds like they bought the rights to the old 9-3ss/sc platform minus the engine and will EV it. I wonder if they will be still have a collaboration with True Electric like the 9-3sc EV they were showing last year?

What is interesting is that the first market identified for that car is China (for 2013/2014)... isn't BAIC already selling an EV or hybrid based on the 9-3ss in China?

I know some have their doubts. Sure it's a bit risky, but so was the turbo. I think if Saab didn't have some element of hybrid or EV in the future, they would be done. Personally, I am optimistic. I have 3 saabs with ICE engines that are set to last a long long time... I can be patient! The next car we buy will almost certainly have some EV component in it + will definitely be much more efficient than the ones we have now... But I am waiting for a good one. It has to be a real driver's car. Prius = no... but that 640hp awd mini sounds cool!
