You could put an ice racing motor cycle in there, too.

Studded tires on cars are great under the right conditions (ice and some hills), but most winter driving simply doesn't need them. And if the roads are bare or wet --which is most of the time in winter-- they are worse than unstudded winter tires. Plus they are really loud.

IMHO, it's sorta like AWD. Is it better? Yeah, some of the time. But is it really necessary? Nope.
