I have been out of the loop by choice for years. The last new car we bought was my wife's '06 9-3SC. We were thinking about ordering her car via the European Delivery Program which had a total cost less then GMS (i.e. GM Employee) pricing, then GM added a $5K Rebate on top of the GMS savings so we bought off the lot.

The advantage used to be that you knew you were getting the absolute best, or nearly so, price with zero dickering with a Salesman and their silly pricing games. No more. d:^(
