No getting around that fact that regardless of how you feel, that a 2000 9-5 is a GM product. Now back to the Buick, the official Saab parts and service source in NY/NJ (RL Smith Saab) has been recommending clients whose 9-3 and 9-5 models get to the end of their life and have been asking for recommendations about what to move to that will still give them some of the driving feel that they like about their Saabs. So far, the conversion rate to the Opel-built Haldex-driven Buick, which again, is nearly identical to the late model 9-5, has converted 80% of the people he has sent to test-drive the cars. I have not driven one myself, but the Saab shop owner does and most of the people he has sent to drive the Buicks have been pleasantly surprised. I don't suppose you have driven one, but the Original Poster may want to as an alternative to the outgoing car - and that is the purpose of this thread. Peace.
