Don't use a 30-weight Mobil 1 for anything, it's really a 20-weight. The 0W-40 and 15W-50 Mobil 1 are good stuff. Mobil 1 oils run to the thin end of the API weight ranges.

Stay away from SM-rated oils unless you can confirm that the specific SM-rated oil has not had its ZDDP and other EP additives removed. The forums over at bobistheoilguy.com are about the best source around.
