I do not see how the turbo would be to blame for the heat. IT's a GT3076r (I think) which is HUGE!!!! At 400 HP he was probably running 15 PSI or so. These turbo's are regarded by many as the best & most effecient turbo's on the market (well, untill porsche released the variable vane stuff :) & I just do not see how it would cause a lot of heat to be developed when it wasn't close to it's power potential!
However like Mio mentioned on a email to me, the car might not of received enough airflow to cool things down porperly.
Maybe a extra oil cooler is in order? My SPG is getting one for the trans..... any day now....
