Yes always the best option. I have a set of axles laying around at work with no outer cv's on them. I will measure the actual axle shaft lengths tomorrow and post it. Aftermarket and reman'd axles are the last resort. I have bought axles out of the junk yard before to rebuild. 15 years ago reman'd and aftermarket axles often were not the correct length or worn out with new boots. And looking at your post on positioning it pretty much has to be an issue at the steering knuckle or the axle itself. Good Luck, Bernie
