1979-1993 & 94 Conv [Subscribe to Daily Digest] |
I hope my thoughts are accurate as I haven't dealt with axles in a long time.
Outer CV joints : Is it possible that there are CV joints that have different distance from surface that the bearing seats on and the point where the axle shaft is retained ?
A-arm mounts : Both upper and lower A-arms contribute to the active length of the axle.
As far as I know both upper and lower are the same from the 99's thru last c900's.
Shims for alignment will move axle in when working for additional negative camber. I run 1 degree on street cars and 2+ degrees on my track 99. I have checked to make sure I avoid my inner tripods bottoming in the drivers.
