As noted above,
The aftermarket ones were too short, so I switched to remans that were the same length as my OE axles before the rebuild.
Today I checked again, and without installing the axle nut on the reman shaft but with the shaft in place and ball joints all connected, there is almost an inch of play in the axle. If I put the axle nut on and tighten it, the tripod bearing is halfway out of the driver cup.
