I understand that GM's impetus for offering a SAAB SUV was because of some study they did that concluded that something like 50% of all U.S. SAAB owners who left the brand did so to buy an SUV.

However, it doesn't seem to me that on this forum (a pretty good collection of SAAB owners) that there is great interest in the 9-7X. Am I reading this wrong? Are there a bunch of you considering trading in your current SAAB car for the 9-7X?

Seems to me that more people would be interested in a true 9-3 hatchback than the SUV. Current SAAB owners here are clamoring for an AWD version of the 9-3 and/or 9-5 but SAAB has not produced one to date. Is this forum a bad indication of what SAAB owners really want and GM is actually in the right?

Just curious.
