hazelnut..my views are based upon fact gathered fro consumers, board posts and more importantly...Saab sales and techs.
The current 9-3 is/was slated to have a hatch back. The 9-3 while selling well is a profit drain on the company..it sells at a loss. I like the car but it is underpowered and does have problems with the computers.
My reason for the recommendation of a resurrected 9K is because of the size, weight, utility etc,etc. It is more functional than 9-5. But...and maybe you did not derive this from my post, the new 9K would obviously be more refined and have shape mods. But the 9K as is has a very strong foundation from which to build. The 9-2x is not selling well. The 9-7 is a GMC. If I wanted one of those ..I would buy the real thing. These are good cars..but do not fit Saab's personality. And, by the way I love the modern new cars.
