Are you all insane?
So you're going to sue the parents, take their house, ruin the kids future if possible, etc, over a burn to your eye that has no lasting or long term affect to you?
You're mad and uncomfortable right now and likely in a little pain and there is no doubt that what those kids did was completely dangerous and irresponsible and that things could have turned-out much worse. But for goodness sakes don't do what t_mokes (especially) and the others are suggesting---I'm 29 and hope to have kids someday and when I do, I sure hope that they don't make friends with that guys kids---accidents do happen ALL of the time.
Growing-up I had a neighbor who was a year older than me and his parents sued another group of parents because their little helpless angel was at a sleepover and hurt his little neck during what was apparently a really "malicious" pillowfight with friends. If memory serves he was outside running-around and playing with a little neckbrace a day or two later---but like you, he was actually in fine health. Needless to say the kid was never allowed to come-over to my house, or on our property as a rule...and didn't seem to understand why.
Yes your situation should never have happened but in the real world things do happen--and one of the traits of being a kid is that you don't yet have the judgment of an adult. Do you imagine that the parents told their kids to go light fireworks in the street in front of your car?
Suck it up. Realize that you're not permanently damaged and get your medical expenses paid-for, buy some triple anti-biotic ointment to minimize any scaring, and get yourself a new set of replacement glasses on their dime. After that, know that you're the guy who has to sleep with yourself at night and that destroying the lives of multiple people, a family, surely isn't something you should relish doing, or do frivolously.
Don't be a measly little worm like everyone else suggests that you should become. Life is already difficult enough for everone and what type of personal satisfication do you plan to get out of making that family's life more difficult? You should be thankful of the fact that you know you're not injured, your car didn't catch afire, there was no accident, and tomorrow will be another normal day for you and that further steps aren't necessary---take a deep breath, and let it go like the rational, caring, understanding, non-vindictive and nice adult that you are.
For whatever reason there are always good guys and bad guys, and right now you're at a cross-road.
