That depends on how one defines hunting. My 06 9-5 doesn't have any speeds where it hunts between 4th and 5th. However it is rather inconsistent in terms of when it decides to unloc the convertor, downshift, relock, unlock, upshift, relock. Mind you it is all VERY subtle, but somehow I feel it. Actually what I think I am sensing is the engine or perhaps tranny rocking. Combine that with my current perofrmance issue where sometimes you can apply throttle and get full boost (into the red) as you zip from 50-80 with no perceived downshift or unlock. Other times you have to floor it to get even a light response and then you get a two gear downshift and it isn't smooth.....frustrating to say the least. To make a long story a tad longer, next time it will probably be a stick, or maybe one of those new DSG type boxes. And Mike's right, my 9-3 with the slap stick is MUCH more satisfying. I SOOOOOO wish the 9-5 had that setup.
