Like many regulars here, I get your Tim/Reality duality, find it amusing, hell, a post from "Reality" suggests content that might be fun to read... but...
The reality (ha) of this is that the name "tag" here on saabnet is only unique if you are a member. Especially, using a common first name invites the risk of confusion when some newbie comes and posts with the same first name (btdt)... I'm not trying to sell you on membership (though I'm finding it beneficial personally), but it's just a fact of life here: if you want to reserve a user name for technical discussion, you need to sign up and login. It's no different than any other forum, except they tend to not allow any guest posting, so to do anything much you have no choice but to sign up and log in (which to me was the impediment, not the cost). I actually like that saabnet doesn't require one to do that. It is the best forum I have found on the net.
Ultimately, what Rizzilus is doing is playing on the anarchistic element of the non-member name-space: it is (almost) a libertarian paradise! You are (almost) free to use a name however you choose! freewill... there is (almost) no governmental control, which makes it very efficient... and lawless... Perhaps your cries of foul indicate a softening of your libertarian stance? Are you requesting some form of trademarking, or other IP protection? I say all this tongue firmly planted in cheek, but you have to admit, there is a little irony there... you are using the name "Tim" to obscure your identity (perfectly reasonable), and then complaining that someone else is stealing it. How can someone steal an identity when there is none to steal? "Tim" doesn't even sign his posts in some characteristic way... really the only identity you have here at the moment is "75.69.1...", which is ironically, your "IP"... Rizzilus would have to work pretty hard to steal that.

Personally, I think all the doubling up posts is a waste of bandwidth, but whatever... I think Rizzilus has made his point... maybe ignore him and he'll stop... probably the best approach in a libertarian world?
