Wow - that is quite a response !!
Rogue #1 was bought when my 9K Aero was waiting to be repaired;
I had zero ability to get around & we were having to move so a car was needed ASAP;
The '08 Rogue was cheap & actually brought by the seller right to my house...AND:
That car had ZERO CVT problems & still has none to this day years later.
I was assured by the (dishonest) seller of Rogue #2 that it also had zero CVT problems - and it did need some fluid, but simple observations brought me to conclude that it had really bad electronic gremlins, perhaps from being in a flood ??
The car I have now (a Honda CRV) is in great shape for being an '06 - and doesn't have a CVT.
Finally - being retired with almost zero income makes ALL the difference at what one may spend at once or even finance - and as for newer cars ??
NONE for me, thanks, if it was made after around 2012 I'm not interested 'cuz of all the overly electronic garbage they all have in more recent model years.
So now my wonderful Aero is long gone - I have a good, older car, a roof over my head, food to eat & decent heat for the zero-ish weather we're having - good enough for me.
PS:
My '97 Aero is with a great guy who could get & afford the needed repairs & AFAIK it is still in use.
