The irony is that by not signing your credit cards, you are violating with the rules of the contract with the credit card company. No matter how you try to justify it, Morgan is 100% right, and you are 100% wrong. Why should he feel bad about defending his rights? Quite often, merchants will refuse to process credit cards that are unsigned, which is exactly what they are instructed to do by the credit card companies. In such a case, would you relent and sign your credit card, or would you "push the limits"? I suspect you would do the latter, despite being technically in the wrong, and yet you're criticizing someone who is actually in the right.

I am shocked at the number of people proclaiming that he should just follow the rules, when in fact he appears to be the only one who actually is doing just that. It should be the other way around - if the merchant isn't willing to follow the rules set out in the agreement, then they shouldn't be accepting credit card payment at all, just cash, cheque, or debit.
