Well - I know Norm and I think maybe you have found the handling of CUVs and SUVs to be a "unsatisfactory" - but many of these vehicles have come a long way - no they will not handle quite like a sports car but some would surprise you should you test drive them. And yes the new Forester has been improved in this area, but the MDX with the SH-AWD is the real deal.
Norn mentioned the GM products - Acadia and the Enclave, to me that is laughable - both are bloated poor handling under powered gas guzzling mediocre soccer mom CUVs - not even close to the MDX except being loaded up with a lot of weight adding luxury items. When the Enclave even approaches a hill or small rise it immediately downshifts, as if knowing that trying to take it's bloat up any incline requires a lower gear.
