I'm not sure if you had a 1st gen or 2nd gen Acadia, but I rocketed a '14 Traverse up Highway 50 to Lake Tahoe a couple months ago and walked away nothing but impressed with its handling and ride. I make that drive frequently, in everything from a 1984 Suburban to a 2003 XJR to a 2003 Solstice GXP and many, many fairly well-tuned c900s. I could probably drive it with my eyes closed and I do not spare the whip, so to speak. The Traverse was never a problem. It certainly was no CTS-V, but it was more CTS-V than Suburban... and it's bloody close in size to the Suburban. I could have use more power than the 3.6 DI had to offer, but the fact I got to the point a lack of power even became an issue speaks volumes about how well it handled what it had. I left more than one higher end vehicle sticky, broken, and confused in my wake. The stereo system is confounding and the seats don't fold adequately for me (I'm nit-picky in that department), but I found it to be a pretty decent way to spend time in a vehicle that big.
