Don't confuse my defense of my position as aggressive. I've seen enough patterns of behavior on the road to have an idea of what we're talking about, and I believe your (and caarma's and the F150 dude's) definition of driving defensively is skewed. You have no business trying to affect any other driver's behavior.

I suggest you try your theory in court if you ever rear-end someone. In NYS, it's an automatic; you hit them, following too close. No one will care about how you're trying to better the roadways.

And regarding where I do my driving, I commute ~55 miles a day on the Long Island Expressway (exits 50 to 68 and back), have been doing it for three years.
