Wasn't there a thread on this before?
I had an F350 once get on the highway ahead of me, when I was the only car on the road. This was eastbound on I-84 approaching Hartford, early morning. Four lanes in each direction, and I was in the second from the right. Pickup immediately cut left, doing about 20mph less than me, cut me off, and went straight for the far left lane.
I could go on about people's mysterious attraction for the far left lane, even when they're slower than everyone else on the road, but I'll pass on that for now and stick to my story...
I was dumb and flashed my lights at him as he cut me off. So he came back across to my lane, pulled in front of me, and slowed down. Tried to pass him, and he weaved to stay in front of me. Scariest driving I've seen...something like reverse tailgating.
I'm sure the turbo could have beaten him, but with a guy like that, I slowed to about 30 until he got tired of his game.
Now, I know most pickup drivers are perfectly normal, nice people. I have a friend who drives one...although admittedly, his doesn't have enough power to do anything silly at highway speeds. But I'm amazed how meatheaded some of them are.
