I had a friend of mine who is a licensed mechanical engineer take a look at the problem. He felt the spring rate is definitely too low by empirical testing. Attached is a picture of the loaded spring (this loaded to about 80% of the stated payload allowing for proper 50/50 GWVR distribution). It is clearly compressed to the point where it will bottom under dynamic vehicle loading (no driver is in the car which should be considered). I can feel it bottom and the jolt that results.
