Yea, let's put a cupholder where a spill will run down every valuable electronic device in the car. That's the ticket! At least when the one in the console spills you can wash out the switches with alcohol and they are good as new. The upper dash one is idiotic. I can only imagine that they were hoping to push more work into Saab service departments.

The Octopus cup holder is a great addition to any Saab. Not so much for the driver (you should use the one in the console) but for the passenger. It handles large containers or small from coke can to a quart of gatorade and it stays put on the passenger side floor in all but the most severe driving. If you're driving you can use it for that extra large container as long as traffic is light and you can make the stretch to the passenger side floor without danger. Link below.
