I'm on Chad's side here as well. I run a small computer support business and never enjoy encountering someone like Anil. It makes me thankful to be a very small business with a loyal customer base, knowing that when you deal with a larger base of customers, more of the Anil's of the world show up to cause needless, time wasting trouble.

We recently needed to replace a side view mirror on one of our Saabs. We've actually replaced two previously due to being hit by oncoming cars (on wrong side of the road) that ran us off the road but managed to clip our mirrors. So we know what it costs to replace a mirror including painting it to match the car.

We paid more than twice the price for the most recent mirror replacement. I know we could have hunted for a used mirror or gone after market but still try to support our dealer and it was easier for us with our schedules to let the dealer handle it all and try to keep our dealer going.

Our dealer located the mirror from another Saab dealer who charged according to supply and demand. Our Saab dealer offered not to buy the mirror for us at this high price but we did it anyway. We just wanted it done and again not to have to hunt down the part ourselves, etc. and again to support our dealer as much as possible.

We're not thrilled to pay a premium price but we made the decision with eyes wide open. It really ticks me off that others think they can change their minds after making a commitment to buy something and then go further attempting to make the seller out to be a crook.

I'm on your side Chad and hope that you can be done with this and put it behind you as quickly as possible. I don't think you did anything wrong and you SHOULD be trying to cover your time locating parts, for shipping and everything else you do.

We Saabers need guys like you and we do appreciate all that you do for the Saab community.
