That is no excuse or a defense to price gouging. Chad was the one that insisted that Anil go through with the deal after Chad sold the part at a 28% mark-up over cost to a customer who is not a mechanic. Anil offered to ship the part back at Anil's expense, FedEx overnight, once Anil received it. Chad refused Anil's offer. Since Chad was the one who gouged in the first place, and insisted on the contract, maybe it is not too much to ask that Chad pay the shipping to Anil.
Chad is not the white knight helping out a damsel in distress, as he wants to portray himself. Unfortunately, some posters here have bought into that meme.
