If Ferrari used to sell a body panel for $500, but not longer creates them, is it gouging if someone has one (the exact one, brand new, in box) and sells it for $585? That is seriously what the argument being made here is.

But wait! There are a few Ferrari dealers around the world that have them on the shelf somewhere! They don't advertise though, and you didn't contact them. You just called and bought the one for $585, but then find that dealer the next day and now you want to return it? Tough stuff. I don't view price whining as a legitimate reason for a return (actually, I offer no returns on special order Genuine SAAB parts). Nobody made you buy that one, you chose to because you didn't know there was an alternative. Nor did the seller, for that matter.

But what we're saying here is that the seller that had the panel may have committed a crime? This is capitalism... let me let you in on a secret, we all make money, and luckily its not a crime (yet).

Walmart buys things for pennies and sells them for dollars everyday. It's how it works. Sorry if its not pretty or doesn't feel fair.
