"At leat I will stand behind my words, unlike you for instance who has made numerous dfferent assumpitions among the way. I dont claim that I now the sytem from top to bottom, but I at lest understand the basics, which I believe you still dont understand."
Okay, so criticize me for making assumptions and then in the next statement make one yourself. Trainwreck?
Do you at least understand the basic, I think we all know the anser...
Where does this get us. You can make fun of me all that you like, I dont care, it only tells the rest of us who you really are.
So you ASSUME I don't know the basics which is wrong because I know the basics well enough. Do you remember when I posted that I was expecting to have problems but then never did? Check back. Trainwreck? Truly, I've not been "making fun of you" at all. I have however been trying to demonstrate to you that you're not qualified to absolutely make statements about what will and what won't work because you don't know for sure. That's all.
You want facts? Here are two, you've already admited that 1) You're not an expert in T7 control logic, and 2) That your original statement regarding power loss wasn't true. Trainwreck?
Now you're saying, oh wait, yeah, boost surging, you'll have TERRIBLE boost surging too. Oh yeah, and lean, your car will run lean too. (actually your original post said RICH, the opposite of LEAN--but I have to be careful that I don't "make fun" of you). Trainwreck? Oh and torque graphs, yeah, you need those too. Oops, no you don't, you already have a HP graph. Trainwreck? You talked about PID like you knew what it was, then I asked for more details and oops, no sorry, you don't know THAT much about T7. Trainwreck?
You're upset because I've only TOLD you that I haven't had problems. How hard do you think it would be for me to fabricate some good graphs and post them? What reason would I have for acting like my car doesn't have problems if it did? Trainwreck?
Jak posted below that he rode in the car, which he did, with the downpipe and cone intake. Do you see any comments about surging? No. Lars900T, how about some help here. You've ridden in the car since the boost gauge and wideband A/F have been installed, did you see any on-throttle leaness or feel/see any surging? You too CJH, how about a little verification? Will you attack their credibility as well Vigge?
My point is that no matter what I do or post you will undoubtly discredit, introduce more information that isn't really relavent, or explain-away the significance of that data. What would make you happy here Vigge? Would three eye witness accounts be enough for you? Maybe we can schedule a conference call with the dyno operator?
Consider for a second that yes, maybe you do understand the basics of T7 (and I believe you basically do), but that quite possibly, the additional flow created on some cars--and mine specifically--is within the adaption limits? Given that you don't have 100% knowledge of T7 can't you admit that it might just be possible? Trainwreck?
As for 1/4 mile performance:
Wouldn't it be more logical to ask for comparisons of 1/4 mile performace on a car before and after hardware-only mods rather than compare times against a vehicle with 0.3 liters more displacement, like a Viggen? That's called a useable benchmark. Trainwreck?
June 25th, 2004 (link below) "In the 1/4 mile with 16" rims the increase equates to a 14.678 at 95.72 best compared to the previous best of 14.950 at 94.96 mph"
Do you think I made that post in preparation for the day when you would post that hardware only mods would not help to increase performance?
But don't worry, like I said, I will post runs of my O2 and boost logs. Just giving you one more chance to tie that noose around your neck a little tighter. And hey, if my buddy Zeke wants to chime-in again, he's welcome too.
