I should have added, "and have seen very nice gains too".

But anyway, I'm glad that you can read my mind and know what my final intentions are for the car. :)

Software is in the works and I'm build towards something.

But for my car, which is at around 280 HP WITHOUT software mods, I'm pretty happy. I fail to see how I've wasted any money by freeing more flow, increasing overall VE, and gaining as much HP as some cars have after software. Did you read the part about engine variances in the other posts? I test drove a bunch of cars and bought this one on the spot.

And really, the only reason software is a concern at this point is because I'm on the threshhold of running out of fuel due to injector capacity.

The real and correct way to mod any car is to address any flow issues that you can. After that you optimize with custom tuning. Software tuning is not a magic pill and doing that first is a great way to spend a lot of unnecessary money on re-burn after re-burn as more mods are added. In the meantime, you're decreasing your efficiency by adding heat and creating unnecessary strain. For example, yes, you can raise your boost and run a stock downpipe...everyone knows what that's doing to your EGT's and efficiency.

IMO, anyone who tells you otherwise either doesn't know any better or is trying to sell you some parts.

If you doubt me I'll pick you-up, or anyone else for that matter, at Geroge Bush International here in Houston and you can take it for a spin. Wasted money? Naw--I can break both front tires loose in 2nd just about anytime I want and it's warm down here; did it last night in 78 degree temperature in fact. Occasionally 3rd on highway on-ramps at +70 mph on nice cool days (dry road) will break a tire loose. I fail to see how I've wasted any money. There are many many cars that are waaaay faster, but my point is that flow related hardware mods-only are not only worthwhile but in fact should be done first.

What is your specific experience regarding hardware installation without software to go with it? How many times have you paid someone to re-burn a chip for you after you've changed something on your car?
