I don't normally boost until the car is warmed up a little.

Running with the APC solenoid disconnected I'm at 5psi base boost. It'll hold at 5psi, no audible spark knock, no obvious temperature rise.
When it's connected back up it boosts to 8psi then it knocks and the apc reduces boost down to 7psi and it tries to go up but then it knocks and brings it back down and so on. The 'jump back down' on the vacuum gauge type of reduction. In my understanding, knock sensor reduction.

The rattle is continuous only at 8psi. No rattle that I can hear before that.
