You have a 1987 900 turbo and in 1987 (only) the 900 turbos had an ignition pulse amplifier in the fusebox. Saab quickly realized that that little booger was causing all sorts of trouble and isn't really needed and after 1987 the turbo 900's don't have them. Ignition pulses are provided to the LH brain for purposes of adjusting the AFR. Saab put out a bulletin telling us to remove and destroy with malice the IP amplifier and install a tiny jumper wire between two of the terminal sockets so the ignition pulses could be sent to the LH ECU directly just like they are in 1987 and later C900 turbos. The IP amp. isn't ALWAYS bad but OFTEN and when they go they cause trouble.
So...make a little jumper wire with two 1/4" male spade terminals and insert it between the TD-O and TD-J sockets (a term. map is on the IP amp.). This may help but in any case it won't hurt.
Or maybe it's already been done to your car in which case....never mind.
