Batteries are not ready for prime time yet....
And where does that power come from? You pay for it, and someone somewhere has that coal or oil or if lucky natural gas burning in his/her backyard to make that electrical current to charge those batteries
I have a plan.....I will get my home off the grid with solar....That will be in 2014.
Next step is batteries that will give me 350 mile range......I don't think I will live that long!!
Yesterday I was leaving the beach club in Santa Monica and my 9 year old grandson was riding with me. He got in and said "lets feel some turbo boost PaPa!" He knows my stage 1 2001 Aero!
Later we pull up behind a Prius with lots of bumper stickers pitching a lot of HOPE. He says " I hate those Prius cars....they are so ugly and have those little wheels." And he lives in the Republik of Santa Monica, so he sees a lot of them!
Must be hereditary. His Mom learned how to drive in a 900 turbo and owned a 1988 SPG, a Viggen, a 95 Wagon and now drives an LR4. His dad has a Audi All-Road. So this kid knows are a real car when he sees one.
