Are things like the bearings, rods, pistons, crank, valves, and head able to take the extra power? I somehow doubt a Buick engine is built like a Saab B234 that came with 170 hp but could produce as more than twice that without internal modifications. Buicks are built by bean counters.
This doesn't matter if you just poke along going for high fuel mileage, but if you actually use that extra power how do you know the engine is up to it?
