A Hyundai I30 with diesel gave me 43 mpg driving it like a banshee for 750 miles on Swedish roads.
There is no way I can get even close to those numbers with our 07 9-3 4cyl.
Best so far driving a steady pace on the freeway around 70 mph showed 34 mpg but as soon as the traffic situation changed it was down to about 30-31 which is a fairly easy number to reach on the freeway.
My wife's daily 2 hour commute and some city driving in between comes in around 22-24 mpg.
With all the Saab's and Volvo coming through the shop nowadays with modern electronics, it is interesting to see how few of them display better than 25 mpg when I check the consumption stored and many are below 20 mpg.
