Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. The best solution is to replace
that weather strip, which has no doubt become pourous and thus allows the
ice to grip it. A silicone spray will prevent the ice from adhering to the
door and rubber, but in my experience an old and porous weather strip will
suck up the silicone and render it ineffective after a very short while.

BTW, this isn't the first time that our actic-capable Swedish cars have
suffered from high humidity, moderate cold climates. During the mid '70s,
throttle body icing was rampent in the Northeastern and North Central USA.
After a couple or three attempts at a minor fix, Saab eliminated the
problem with a coolant loop in the throttle body.
