Hello Saabers!

Even with the rain threatening, it is safe to say itÕ summer! Our next get
together will be a DRIVE: EAST BAY DRIVE - JUNE 26TH, 2004, Our second meet
will be a driving event taking place at the end of June. We will meet at the
Lafayette BART station in the east bay. From there club member David Williams
will lead us on a drive starting on Upper Happy Valley Rd., Happy Valley Rd.,
Bear Creek to Alhambra Valley Road through the town of Pinole finally ending
up in Crocket at the foot of the Carquinez bridge. We will have lunch at the
Nantucket Seafood restaurant at the Foot of Port St., Crocket, CA, have a
club meet, pop our hoods and view the cars, and swap parts, etc.

For more details, check the web at:
http://bayareasaabclub.com/BASCevents.htm

We will send out another letter with the start time (but plan on about 10AM).

If you missed our Blackhawk guided museum trip, we had a great time. Some of
the photos are posted on the web. Past President Doug who is now a docent at
the museum but met us dressed in his SAAB paraphernalia, led a tour of this
amazing museum for a special guided club tour. We filled the museum plaza
with our Saabs, placing 'diaper' rugs swatches underneath for drips. With
over 30 members in attendance, Doug went car by car for a personalized tour.
Probably the only casualty was Merton, who showed up after lunch with a small
bag, and wife, from the exclusive Blackhawk Mall. In this case, small made no
difference as the bag said 'jewler'... We had 2 99s, 2 sonett V4s, a Monte
Carlo stroker and 2 96s in addition to our usual tricked out 3 digit club
member cars. We are looking forward to another well attended meet. To make
sure we fit in the restaurant, please <mailto:rwapnerno39sdcx6spamx782earthlink.net>RSVP
for

a headcount. LetÕ also see at least as many vintage saabs as we did at
Blackhawk. Regards to all ÐPresidents Roger and Cliff
