There was a long, detailed posting about the proper procedure for replacing
Freon (tm) with R134A refrigerant posted right here on TSN
It was of sufficient interest that I copy/pasted it to a file.

There it is.
If it's not in the archives, I've got the whole TSND post, plus, curiously,
two copies of the individual post about R134A. I must of been REAL interested
in the subject at the time, apparently to no avail, because the A/C on my '86
900S has (as you can see) been broken since at least '97 ;-)
