The ABS light flickering has been a running thread.  I just had the same
problem and can confirm that the problem is with the cabling running to the
ABS sensors.  These cables can be reached from inside the front wheel
wells.  I was lucky enough that my cable wasn't to far broken down, and was
able to solve the problem by wrapping the cable tightly with electrical
tape.  The driver side (US) seems to be more susceptible to the problem, as
my local SAAB shop only stocks the driver side cable.  To find the problem
area look between the cable bracket on the shock tower up to where the
cable exits the wheel well. At the bottom the u-shaped bend of the cable
(the maximum bending point), my cable was pitted, and I could see a silver
colored shield (I think that's what it is) of the cable through the outer
jacket.  When I wrapped this area, the problem went away.  If this doesn't
solve the problem you may need to go into the cable (discussed in a
previous thread), or replace the cable, which is a dealer only item.  As I
mentioned on my car the passenger side cable wasn't pitted as badly as the
driver side, so no taping was necessary there.
