I recently wrote to the list regarding a front end vibration, clunk and =
shimmy in my 1998 900S 2.3L manual with 105K miles. I suspected a broken =
engine/transmission mount. The problem did turn out, partly, to be a bad =
transmission mount. Even though it wasn't completely broken, it was worn =
sufficiently that it's replacement partly solved the problem. Additionally=
, the dealer 're-torqued' the suspension fasteners, although he didn't =
charge me for this work. (It makes me wonder how extensive this work was) =
The repair has completely solved the problem. Perhaps a closer examinatio=
n of your mounts and a 're-torqueing' of your suspension can help you with =
your problem.
