The radio in my 1993 Turbo S Convertible is having trouble. Searched the
archives,  but did not find an answer.  During the winter, my LEFT-side
speakers - front and back - died at the same time.  There was maybe a day or
so of weird crackling noises, then they were gone permanently.  It was the
dead of winter, so I let it be a 'fix when convertible top weather gets here
in NJ!'  Well, its now May, and Spring has sprung.  I'm now itchin' to get
this problem fixed.

A recent trip to my local Saab mechanic had him taking out part of the dash
to fix a creaking steering wheel. So while he was performing that task, I
asked him to look for any loose wires that may have caused my speaker
problem. He said he found nothing unusual.  Based on his experience, and the
fact both of the left-side speakers when out at the exact same time, he
suspected it may be a problem with the Clarion unit itself.

Any suggestions as to what I need to do to get my radio fixed? I don't want
to have some 17 year old at a local car audio shop look at this. Does Clarion
have a repair facility I can ship this to?
